IELTS is The International English Language Testing System. It assesses the English language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as the language of communication.

Students can choose between two versions of the test: Academic or General Training, depending on their educational plans and goals or visa requirements. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking modules but different Reading and Writing components.

General module can be required by Immigration Office when applying for permanent residency.

Academic module is usually required by High Schools or Colleges as a proven level of English knowledge.

The course duration depends on the level and ranges between 4 to 20 weeks.
