AUSTRALIA OFFERS GREAT WORK OPPORTUNITIES
International students are often able to find their first job just a few weeks after arrival. Although, Australia offers strong economy and good job opportunities, the best jobs and salaries require a good English level.
If you were granted Student Visa, its duration depends on the course: the period of the whole course plus one month or two months after. Most student visas allow you to work for up to 40 hours every two weeks while your course is in session, and unrestricted amount of hours during any course break.
The best way to find jobs is to be proactive, use the local and international job seeking portals and build your contact network. With a very open and friendly attitude most people will be very helpful in helping you and supporting your job opportunities in Australia. In order to start working you will need a bank account, a TFN (tax file number) and your resume in English. The minimum wage in Australia is $640.90 a week, or $16.87 an hour.
